Terms of Service
Last updated July 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and BotSeen (“BotSeen”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the BotSeen website, dashboard, and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1.The Service
BotSeen helps you monitor how AI answer engines — including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews — describe your brand, diagnose why you may be missing from an answer, and draft suggested fixes. The Service is informational and advisory.
BotSeen does not guarantee placement, rankings, citations, or visibility in any AI engine or search product, and has no ability to publish or send anything on your behalf — it never connects to your CMS, code repositories, or email accounts. Everything it produces is a draft you choose whether to use.
2.Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You sign in through Google, and you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
A workspace may include multiple members. The workspace owner is responsible for their team's use of the Service, for the credits and charges the workspace incurs, and for ensuring members comply with these Terms.
3.Plans, trials, credits & billing
- Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar handles checkout, cards, taxes, and invoicing; BotSeen never sees or stores your full card details. Your purchase is also subject to Polar's terms.
- Free trial. Paid plans may start with a 7-day free trial. You provide a payment method up front and are automatically charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Cancel anytime from your billing page.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Credits. Plans include a monthly credit allowance used to run scans and other actions. You may also buy one-time credit add-ons. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
- Refunds. Except where required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable. When a paid plan ends, unused plan credits may be cleared and the workspace returns to the free tier.
- Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes that affect your renewal.
4.Your content & data
You retain ownership of the brands, URLs, prompts, and other information you add to the Service (“Customer Content”). You grant BotSeen a limited licence to host, process, and transmit Customer Content as needed to provide the Service, including sending your configured prompts to third-party AI engines to generate results.
You represent that you have the rights to monitor the brands and websites you configure, and that your Customer Content does not infringe others' rights or contain personal or sensitive data you are not permitted to process.
5.AI-generated output
Results, diagnoses, and drafts are generated with the help of third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing any output before relying on or acting on it, and BotSeen makes no warranty as to accuracy or results.
6.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to infringe, defame, or harm others;
- reverse engineer, resell, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
- circumvent credit limits, rate limits, or security measures, or overload the Service;
- upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or data.
7.Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity), payment processing (Polar), hosting (Vercel), background processing (Trigger.dev), authentication and database (Supabase), and email (Resend). Your use may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
8.Intellectual property
BotSeen and its software, design, and content are owned by us and our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; no other rights are granted.
9.Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will improve your visibility in any AI engine.
10.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BotSeen will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11.Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold BotSeen harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
12.Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for security, legal, or operational reasons. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
13.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14.Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your governing-law jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@botseen.com.
